Local Community Launches Free Skills Training Programme to Empower Youth
City Pulse News
A new free skills training programme aimed at empowering young people and reducing unemployment has been officially launched in the community this week.
The initiative, which is being organised by community leaders in partnership with local stakeholders, will provide training in high-demand areas such as digital skills, entrepreneurship, basic computer literacy, and selected vocational trades. The programme is open to young people between the ages of 18 and 35.
According to the organisers, the three-month programme is designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience that can help them secure employment or start their own small businesses. Successful participants will also receive certificates at the end of the training.
Registration for the first batch is currently ongoing at the community centre. Interested applicants are required to come with a valid means of identification and a recent passport photograph. Limited slots are available, so early registration is advised.
Community leaders expressed optimism that the programme will create positive change and called on more organisations, government agencies, and private individuals to support similar initiatives in the future.
City Pulse News will continue to monitor the progress of the training and bring readers regular updates.
