Community Health Outreach Programme Provides Free Medical Check-Ups
City Pulse News
Residents of the community benefited from a free medical outreach programme held over the weekend, as organisers provided basic health check-ups and awareness services.
The one-day exercise, organised by local health volunteers in collaboration with community leaders, offered blood pressure screening, malaria testing, and general health education. Hundreds of residents, including women, children, and the elderly, turned out for the free services.
According to the organisers, the programme aims to promote early detection of common health conditions and encourage people to prioritise regular medical check-ups. Free consultation and basic medications were also made available to those who needed them.
Community members expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that many people in the area struggle to afford regular hospital visits. Organisers said they plan to hold similar outreach programmes in the coming months.
City Pulse News will continue to report on community health initiatives and other developments that impact residents.
